Day 2 started with a hearty breakfast at Havelschloss and the next thing I know is that I am on the way towards Fürstenberg an der Havel.
The first part of the trip takes you towards Ziegelei Mildenberg, an old brick-plant, which was turned into a museum.
On your way there you are surrounded by lakes and forests left and right. The lakes are flanked by reed and huge patterns of water lillies. That stretch is not very long, but currently is the Icing on the cake.
Just before I reached Mildenberg I was stung by something on my right collarbone, which hurt quiet extensively for a while. Fortunately the pain subsided after roughly 30 minutes.
What followed was a rather longish stretch on the road with headwind.
My knees started to hurt really bad until my first long break, after that the pain was OK to bear.
Then the real pain began as the rolling hills started. From there on to my final destination Wesenberg the landscape consisted of hills, which really sapps your energy.
Quick napkin math: me together with the bike and equipment weigh in at around 145kg...
Let's hope the terrain will be more forgiving today as the weather is not.
